For as long as I can remember, I have always had an eye for finding mistakes. Forgotten punctuation, a misspelled word, an incorrect grammar tense—my eye spots them just as easily as my nose sniffs out dark chocolate!
I first got into editing, revising, and proofreading when a graduate school professor noticed my command of the English language and my ability to spot typos. I helped him on a project for a series of textbooks for then Heinle Cengage Learning, now rebranded as National Geographic.
Soon after, projects just began to fall into my lap as friends and acquaintances asked for my assistance. I proofread books before their publication. I served as a member of focus groups to review books for their overall cohesion and clarity. And I helped to edit and revise articles prior to their submission to periodicals.
With time, I was asked to write for companies and organizations. This new layer of experience stretched me as a writer, growing my capacity to include grant writing, newsletters, speeches, scripting for video resources, subject-specific blogging, and copywriting.
Through my years of experience, I have found joy in helping others communicate their ideas effectively. If you have a project that could use an extra set of eyes, I’d love to work with you. Please click the link below to email me a brief description of your project and request a quote.
